Cobram Bowling Club

Our Mission

-conduct, encourage, promote, advance and administer Bowls throughout our local area

-act, at all times, on behalf of and in the interest of the Members and Bowls

-affiliate and otherwise liaise with Bowls Victoria (including, but not limited to, its Regions and Divisions), Bowls Australia and/or World Bowls and as may be necessary for the management and control of Bowls and related activities in Victoria

-advance the operations and activities of the club throughout the local and surrounding area

-maintain and conduct a sporting and social Club and to build, maintain or otherwise provide facilities for the use and recreation of the members

-apply for, hold and renew any liquor or gaming licences

-have regard to the public interest in its operations

-undertake and or do all such things or activities which are necessary, incidental or conducive to the advancement of these purposes

 

Cobram is situated on the beautiful Murray River, only 3 hours north of Melbourne which, together with its fabulous climate all year round, makes  it an extremely attractive place to visitors.

Our Club was formed in 1914 and opened on December 9th in that year.

Located in the centre of Cobram our facilities include 3 magnificent tiff dwarf greens, confortable airconditioned clubrooms including a bar, commercial kitchen, outdoor BBQ area and facilities to cater for up to 250 people. “Thinking of where to hold your next function”

Membership comprises Affiliated, Full, Social, and Juniors and there are programs to cater for each of these categories.

In Friday Pennant we field 2 teams and Saturday Pennant 4 teams.

Check out our events program to see what major tournaments we host in  June and August in addition to the famous “Peaches ‘n Cream” held in March.

We bowl all year round and Saturday Winter triples has proven to be a huge success with bowlers from a variety of clubs coming along to join in a fun day. Winter triples is run from May till September.

The Cobram Bowling Club is known for its hospitality and welcomes visitors from other clubs to call in and have a bowl on our greens. People who have never bowled before are welcome to come along and join in on the fun of the game we know as “Bowls”
